A quiet locality is the Cantonment of Meerut, wherein St. John’s Church is located.
The spire and steeple dominate the surroundings, visible over the lush greenery comprising of fruit trees and flowers. Every Sunday, the stately old Church bells chiming and calling for the faithful can be heard for almost a mile. The magnificent building echoes of prayers and hymns sung during tens of thousands of worship services stretching over a period of almost two centuries, and they continue with the present generation as Christians’s commune with the one true and living God.
Many have found God and the surety of a life through His grace in this hallowed building. And the greatest gift of Jesus Christ beckons to countless more through His sacred word now, and for evermore.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen
